As the days get shorter, we, at Mulberry Gallery, find ourselves celebrating a new season of the changing colors of Fall, new artistic expressions and the advent of Autumn and Winter Family connection. Despite the constrictions of new health demands our families need, routines and expectations have not changed. I recently photographed two families celebrating holiday and children. The entire neighborhood drives past this place with smiles. I hope these images will spread the energy.
Back in the 1950’s Dodge pick ups called Power Wagons were used as fire control vehicles in the Yosemite Mountains. This neighborhood family inherited one of these vehicles through a grandfather. They decided to greet the entire neighborhood this season with their 1950’s Power Wagon set for Halloween greetings. The display is absolutely amazing in the evening with its dramatic lighting. During daylight hours neighbors driving up Glen Haven Road from Soquel Village are treated with a daylight version of spooks and fantasy. The truck bed of a Dodge Power Wagon meets and greets. Here are a few favorite neighborhood moments.
I know we can all relate to the fun of running through Halloween fantasies. I invite you to remember these moments as you enjoy your families during the Fall holidays. Join us each Saturday at the Mulberry Gallery Sidewalk Sale in Aptos Village, California. We’re there 10 AM -4 PM through December or as long as our sidewalk sale supplies last. Most popular right now are our photo frames. Pick one up to share and display your own holiday memories.
